For new listeners
The Wind is the gateway to Galié's present. From there, go back to Any Time Anywhere and Miércoles o Jueves for the recent phase, or Galié I for the origins.
Musical identity
Galié emerges from the school of instrumental symphonic progressive rock, with affinities for Camel, Focus, Genesis and 1970s Italian prog. Its real story follows its own path: nine albums across six decades and a sustained commitment to musical creation.
Flutes, acoustic guitars, electric and acoustic piano, Moog, keyboards, bass and drums form an identity that crosses symphonic prog, baroque color, Latin jazz and progressive rock pulse.
From Galié I (1981) to Galié IX (2024), the catalog maintains a coherent instrumental line, with member changes, rhythmic explorations and a recent production workshop that reactivated the project after 2013.
Current production operates as a workshop with Luis Díaz Torre, José Ignacio Portilla and Ignacio Cordero as the creative core, with guest contributions from earlier members.
